Community Involvement

Habitat for the Arts
An initiative in support of the arts undertaken jointly by Lutheran Church of the Reformation and Friends of the Arts in St. Louis Park. Its mission is "to promote the growth and awareness of the arts in all their facets, and to contribute to the development of a vital and creative artistic space."
Natural Landscaping
As part of the congregation's on-going commitment to creation stewardship, the church is partnering with local and state agencies to recreate a portion of the area's original natural oak savanna landscape. The church property will become a demonstration site for the benefits of a natural landscape in reducing air and water pollution in the metropolitan area.
Birchwood Community Garden
Serving the Birchwood neighbor and located on Reformation's property, the community garden is home to variety of produce, perennial flowers, and roses.
Dinner at Your Door
A St. Louis Park home delivered meals program based at Methodist Hospital. Volunteers from the Lutheran Church of the Reformation deliver dinners at noon on the first Tuesday of the month, completing their routes in about 1 1/2 hours. More drivers are always needed and are most welcome. For more information you can contact Carol Norrgard through the church office.
Senior Community Services
A licensed social worker from Senior Community Services maintains an office at Lutheran Church of the Reformation. She meets with clients from the community providing needed services. Office hours are Tuesday and Thursday of each week between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
New Earth Partnership
Reformation is committed to become a model of ecological awareness and sustainability. We are the founding partner of the New Earth Partnership, a coalition of faith communities and individuals who have joined together in this mission: "Seeking God's will for all creation, we commit ourselves to explore fresh understandings of our niche in nature, to worship god in God's fullness as its creator, and to care for our place in it."
